Anagram is a free daily word game. Unscramble the day’s jumbled word, five to eight letters, in five tries — everyone in the world gets the same word, so you can compare notes with whoever else played today.
Tap the letters to spell your answer, or just type it. Tap a letter you have placed to take it back. Shuffle rearranges the jumble when it stops helping, twice a word, and never into the answer.
You get 5 tries. Guesses that do not use the letters in front of you, or ones you have already tried, are not held against you.
Stuck? After 3 wrong tries a hint turns up and gives you the first letter. One a day, and your shared result owns up to it.
Finished for the day and want another? Unlimited deals a word from a pool the daily calendar never touches, as many as you like. Your streak is safe there: nothing you do in Unlimited can end it.
Solve the word and your streak goes up. Miss it and the streak simply stays where it is. The only thing that breaks it is a day you do not play at all.
New words arrive at midnight New York time — the same moment for everyone, whatever your clock says. Your streak is kept on this device, so playing on your phone and your laptop means two separate streaks.
Solving the day's word keeps a streak alive. Only a day you skip entirely will end it.
